Soap and Glory Wonderbronze Shimmer Brick!

I've always been one to enjoy a nice bronzed glow, whatever the weather. When I first swatched this in store I wasn't too sure on it as it looked a bit too shimmery but something made me get it and I am so glad I did. It adds the most perfect glow to my cheeks and I've been wearing it everyday since I've got it!

Soap and glory say:

"With INSTANT-TAN TINTED LUMINOSPHERES™, our new Wonderbronze™ super natural sun-kissed shimmer brick delivers instant chic for the shabby cheek.
Sun-tint the apples of your cheeks, contour your cheekbones, dust on your décolleté, or brush your bronze on all over!"

I'm not sure I would put this all over my face as I may end up looking like a bit of a disco ball but all in all I am very impressed and I think this will be a product I continue to use over the colder months!

Soap and Glory currently have a *Buy one get one half price* offer on at boots. Go go go!!!!

Nars Sheer Glow Review / It just wasn't meant to be!

Nars Sheer Glow, a foundation that is very hyped up in the blogging community and everyone seems to love. A foundation that I couldn't wait to try and thought that I would join everyone in being head over heels in love. Did I love it? No. Did I in fact hate it with a passion? Yes.

When going into my local Space NK I did inform the lovely lady that I had quite oily skin but she said it will be fine and Nars Sheer Glow suits everyone. I feel very depressed that it seems to suit everyone but me! No matter what base I used, how I applied it or how little or more I put on, it just looked absolutely awful on my skin. It never fully sunk in so it felt heavy on my skin and looked very cakey. It  made me look extremely oily, almost like my face was wet.. not a good look at all. After about 3 hours it had pretty much completely worn away, regardless of the amount of setting powder I'd used.
I also found it clung horrendously to any little but of dryness I had (which isn't a lot) AND it made me break out wahhhhh!!!

A very shiney and cakey looking forehead!

Unfortunately after having it only about 3 weeks I have contacted Space NK and they are kindly letting me exchange it for a different product. I'm thinking of trying the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer, hopefully that will work better on me! (fingers crossed)

I'm not writing this review to put anyone off as I know on the right person it would and does look absolutely amazing! I just want people in the same situation to know that its perfectly fine if Sheer Glow didn't work for you, there's nothing wrong with your face (I briefly panicked about this ). We have to accept that we all have completely different skin types and what might work well and look fabulous of someone else, might not necessarily look good or work for you.

So my search for the perfect foundation is still underway! Does anyone have any recommendations for oily skin?

Sleep in Rollers / Review

I've never been one to do any kind of styling to my hair, I'm more of a quick backcomb then out the door kinda gal.  To be quite honest it's purely because a) my hair is super damaged so using heated tools is a big no no and b) I am a lazy bugger and the thought of sitting there for half an hour straightening/curling my hair has no appeal to me what so ever!

Then alas one day these beauty's were introduced to me! Sleep in Rollers require absolutely no heat and they literally take me about 10 minutes to put it. The fact they make me feel like scouse WAG while in comes as an added extra ;)

I usually put them in clean, dry hair about an hour before I go to bed, then take them out in the morning which again takes no time at all. Add a bit of hair spray and boom done, big bouncy hair with next to no effort!

(I was only going to work this day so didn't do anything too fancy nancy)

So if you are lazy like me and don't have time to do your hair or you just want to give your hair a break from the heat, I cannot recommend these enough!

Sleep in Rollers come in a variety of colours and glitters, and some even come with a how to dvd and a pack of bobby pins!

These are the ones I have and they only set me back £16. Bargain!

Have you used Sleep in rollers before?

Leopard Loving

Dress | Newlook SOLD OUT
Shoes | Matalan SOLD OUT
BAG | H&M OLD

Hey Guysss,

So I know its annoying because everything I'm wearing is unavailable, but I just thought id show you a go to outfit for me for a night out.

I am 100% a dress girl, however I am trying to broaden my horizons so might invest in a Co-ord set, I think they look so nice with heels.

These shoes are my favourite thing about this outfit! They were super cheap from Matalan and so so sooo comfy. I love how they look on, make me feel all classy and ladylike haha. I know they went into the sale so you might still be able to get them in your local store!

Is this similar to something you would wear on a night out?

Making people look and feel Fantasic!

Fantastic Hairdresser - Regenerating shampoo and Regenerating treatment for dry or damaged hair £11.99 each*

To start off, a bit of background on my hair. My hair is extremely dry and damaged due to years of home dyes and bleach mishaps and I can never find products that work well for me. I’m always being recommended products that people swear by but when I use them on my hair, they frankly just don’t do enough.
First of all the packaging of these products I love. They stand out in my bathroom with the bold fuchsia font and bright yellow stars, and I am just instantly drawn to use them over other products I have sitting there.
Of course the packaging isn’t the only reason I would pick them over the rest. I have been using these a little over two weeks and my hair has never felt in better condition. I was shocked to see such a transformation as id given up on ever finding a product that worked for me. The shampoo lathers effortlessly and the Regenerating treatment makes my hair feel instantly soft to touch.
I also used these while on holiday and they were a god send. The sea water and constant sun do nothing but hell to my hair but this Regenerating Shampoo and treatment kept it in good condition. To top it all off these products smell amazing, what more could you want!

If you want to try these products please register with the Fantastic Hairdresser and become a ‘Fantastic Fan’ for free. You can order your products initially through calling the salon (0208 827 1659 option 1). You can pay by card over the phone and the guys will enter your email address to set you up as a Fantastic Fan. An email will come through to you to submit your delivery address and you will then be in the system to receive 25% discount and free delivery forevermore.

25% off AND free delivery.. perfect!

After this initial order through the salon, you can then order from our website by logging in with your new account details.

Let me know if you try these!

New Year, Better Me

I think we will all agree that this new year has come around way way too quickly. I feel like Christmas whizzed by and before I knew it I was sat back at my desk feeling like I hadnt really had a break (I actually had 2 weeks off, where does time go?!)

As per I've started off the year with many resolutions and I feel determined to stick to them this time!

1. Be more active and eat healthily. I know EVERYONE does the whole new year, new me thing but Im thinking more new year, better me. Im not overly bothered by what the scales say, im more concerned about not getting out of breathe running up the stairs and constantly feeling lazy. I want to keep up exercising and healthy eating, but Im not going to starve myself and do fad diets.

2. Continue my journey to being blonde! I am naturally dark blonde but have died my hair black for the last 5 years. I finally think its time to return to the light side for good and its going to be a long process. Im curently at a brown stage and am slowly getting more highlights put through but because I cant wait for anything I usually get annoyed and stick a black hair dye on, but I really really dont want to do that this year!!!

3. SAVE SAVE SAVE. Me and Dean are getting a mortage hopefully anyday now so I have to make sure I save my pennies for all the rather expensive furniture I seem to have my eye on. I need to stop buying everything I see, time to become an adult, eekk!!

4. Finally set a date for our wedding! We have been engaged for 3 years now (wow that went quickly!) so think its about time we get a rough idea of when we would like to get married. I would like a Winter wedding around Nov 2016 but of course we cant really plan anything until we have our house! Once we've found a house then we can start saving and thinking about our wedding (Shh, I have pretty much planned everything I want with the help of pinterest haha) Exciting times!!!

5. Travel. I want to travel around a bit more this year, lots of weekend City breaks with the girls, I want to go back to Paris for a romantic weekend with Dean and Las Vegas may also be on the cards ;)

6. Be Happy!!! I want to be more positive, stop worrying and just sit back and enjoy my life. I have the most amazing fiance, family and friends so whats there to not be happy about?

What are your New Year Resolutions?

* Christmas Wishlist *

Pandora Bow Charm £30
I literally couldnt wait for this years Pandora Christmas collection to come out after seeing sneek peeks back in the summer! I love this bow its just so simple and cute, it will look so good on my bracelet. I've got my eye on a couple of the others in the collection but this one is my favourite so will be on my list for sure.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Palette in The Golden Goddess £38
One of Charlotte Tilburys eyeshadow palettes was always going to be on my wishlist but I wasnt quite sure which one. I was undecided between Dolce Vita and Golden Goddess. The lovely Corrie from DizzyBrunette3 included The Golden Goddess in a post and thats when i finally decided it was the one for me. It is a lovely bronzey palette and the glitter shade is to die for, I love abit of glitter!

Return to Tiffany mini heart earrings £105 & Return to Tiffany bead bracelet £185
I love a good piece of jewellery and have been lusting after these two pieces from Tiffany for awhile. I tend to go for studs for everyday wear so thought it was about time I got a decent pair and these are just perfect.
I am also a massive fan of the Return to Tiffany bracelets. I love the chunky ones but just know it would annoy me being on my wrist. The beaded bracelets are gorgeous. They do a lot of different ones with different coloured hearts but my favourite is this one with the kinda rose gold heart, that way I can wear it with silver or with my rose gold watch. I love how simple and classic both pieces are and know I will get a lot of wear out of them.

Enrapture Extremity Heated Rollers £60 but currently £35 at Argos
I am quite low maintenance when it comes to styling my hair, I usually just give it a brush and im out the door. For a night out I add in abit of back combing and clip back of the fringe and thats about it. I do not own any kind of heat styling tool (I know, I know, how can I call myself a girl) so pretty much have straight hair all the time, unless I go back to old school and plait my hair before bed haha. Back in August I got my hair done at the hairdressers the morning of my uncles wedding and they put hair rollers in my hair to give me a bit of bounce and I LOVED how it looked. Ever since I've been reading review after review and these seem like the best heated rollers on the market, and at pretty much half price atm such a bargsss!

I cannot believe how quickly this year is going! I've tried to put off thinking about Christmas just yet as I still feel its too early but my mum keeps probing for my wishlist while reminding me its only 5 weekends away so I better get my butt in action with Christmas shopping haha.

What is on your Christmas Wishlist?

Release your inner Diva

                         Mac - Diva £15.00

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend (:
Every year i cant wait for the winter months to come along so I can whip out all my vampy lip colours, not too sure I could pull off a dark lip in june haha.
Last year I was obsessed with Mac's Rebel which is a dark pinky/purple so for this Winter I wanted a dark red/berry colour.
After looking at hundreds of swatches online I finally settled for Mac's Diva and I am in love.
It is quite dark and at first I thought that maybe it was a little bit too dark for me but I applied a little bit more warmth in my face and it was fine. I have worn it all weekend and can see this being my go to colour this winter!

What is your favourite winter shade?

I recently had a weekend away and took these with me for me and my mates to use,
they loved them and couldn't believe it was L'Oreal as they just feel like luxury products!
These are often on 3 for £12 at boots and i make sure i stock up! TRY THEM!

#9  Moisturiser
Nip + Fab Pistachio Sundae but this has unfortunately been discontinued so I am on the lookout
 for a new fav.
For my face I just use Simple light moisturiser, simple, easy and does the job.

Ahhhhh i hate the feel of hairspray in my hair so I cant deal with using it, waaaah

Autumn Nails 🍁

Nails Inc - Piccadilly Circus £9.90

Hii Guysss,
First off please excuse the nails pic, I am rubbish at painting nails and will openingly admit this... now thats out the way on to the post hehe.

As much as I love a bright neon pink nail in the summer, I am 100% a vampy nail kinda girl. I love this time of year as all the berry, browns and dark purples start to come out.
This polish by Nails Inc has to be one of my favourites, it is very similiar to the popular Barry M- Rasberry.
At £9.90 Nails inc is abit pricey but I really like the way it applies, but a lot of the time Nails inc comes free with magazines etc so keep your eye out!

What is your favourite Autumn nail colour?

Hii Guysss,
So i see these quite alot and enjoy reading them, mainly because im really nosey haha but its a good way to get to know the girl behinde the blog! Here goes...

1. Is your hair natural curly or straight?
Straight, annoyingly.

2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?

4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I do my own toes but i usually have acrylics on my hands. I get them done every 3 weeks and usually every 3/4 months il give my nails a break for a month. At the moment im on that break and i feel very trampy haha just hate my real nails!

5. How often do you change your nail polish?
On my real nails every other day, on false nails every 3 weeks when i go back to thee salonnn

8. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
I do my face first for sureee

I collect it, my collection isnt massive, but i deffs buy more then i need! Cant walk into boots without swatching everything haha

10. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
I actually get semi perm lashes done every 3 weeks, but just like my acrylics im currently on my break just to let my natural lashes breathe and grow out abit. Im booked in for the end of this month and literally cant wait!!!

11. Do you do a full face of makeup everyday?
Pretty muchhh

12. Do you wear makeup when your home alone, or with family?
Not when im just at home but if i go over to my parents yes, i just feel abit more together with it on!

13. Will you leave the house without makeup?
Yes of course, i dont wear makeup because i have to i wear it because i want to. Im not one of these girls that wont let anyone see them bare faced, If im just popping to the corner shop or going for a walk along the beach i dont bother.

14. How many high-end products do you have?
Not sure if im meant to list but here goes, about 15 mac bits, 1 chanel, 5 Estee Lauder, 3 Lancome, 1 YSL, and about 25ish from benefit but only because i worked there!

29. What’s your favorite color?
Black, cream and lime green.

30. Do you swear?

Im head receptionist for an oil company so I just keep it quite simple to be professional, plus i work with a lot of older people who constantly tell me 'you don't need all that slap' so i reckon if i came in with a dark smokey eye and red lip they might just have a heart attack haha
